Two-legged Kitten Ditches Tiny Wheelchair For Something Much Better

Cassidy the #MiracleKitten has discovered a new mode of transportation.
Cassidy was missing both back legs below the knee when we rescued him from a feral cat colony. There’s no way he should have survived, but our little fighter refused to give up. After several weeks of round-the-clock care, he was finally out of the woods and ready to start physical therapy. We’re still doing daily physical therapy to try to make him a candidate for some fancy new legs.
Most kittens aren’t as lucky as Cassidy, which is why it is so important to help your friends, neighbors and co-workers understand how important it is to spay and neuter. Only 1 in 12 kittens born ever finds a home, and only 25% of kittens born to unowned cats will survive longer than 6 months. The rest will die from starvation, disease, predators or cruelty.
If you’d like to help but aren’t in a position to donate, volunteer or foster, you can still have a huge impact by helping spread the word and raising awareness! Each action you take, whether it is great or small, adds up and makes a big difference.
Please spay and neuter!
